HOW WE GOT STARTED
Since 1999, we’ve built personalized homes that have brought our upscale design and quality philosophies within reach for many homeowners across the Denver Metro area. Michael Griger started MAG Builders in Vail, Colorado as a custom framing contractor known for superior construction. In 2002, this growing company moved to Denver to realize the company's calling of design-to-build custom homes.

We provide full project pricing contract for the entire project at the time of authorization. No need for home construction loans or complicated and risky financing, MAG has you covered.
Most construction loans require 20–35% down that require costly inspection fees, appraisal fees, monthly interest payments and origination fees. On top of that, construction loans slow down the build time with bank inspections and waiting for them to cut a check, which is a bummer. At MAG, we do things differently. All you need to do is put two separate 10% deposits at Canyon Title. That deposit then sits in an escrow account and is used towards the deposit on your permanent financing, not held in a MAG account. The first 10% is due when we get a successful contract and the second 10% is due after framing is complete. Then, get the chips and dips ready for the housewarming, because you’re only two months from moving into your new MAG home.
We do that under-promise and over-deliver thing that people seem to love with build times that rank among the quickest in Denver. From excavation to getting the final Certificate Of Occupancy, it takes us just three months on average. Most builders take 6-12 months to complete their homes. “BUT HOW?!?” you ask. It’s simple, Watson: MAG is self-financed. No construction loan process or waiting for bank appraisals to cut checks. We pay all our employees and contractors weekly not 30-60 days like other builders. Also, with our in-house staff, we can handle situations that need immediate attention that other builders need to wait for their contractors’ schedules to open up. It’s just how we roll.
Like you, we think Colorado is pretty awesome and we want to keep it that way. So we use super efficient building design, tank-less water heaters, high efficiency furnaces, recycled teak deck tiles, recycled steel reinforced framing, recycled steel roofing, LED lighting, smart home automation, Energy Star appliances, water efficient fixtures, low VOC materials, and we're a member of the U.S. Green Building Council. Oh, and we donate any excess materials to Habitat for Humanity's local projects. You’re welcome, Nature.
